Glossary of Pattern Analysis Terms iWhat each metric on this page means in plain language.

Win Rate
Percentage of trades that made money. Shown by hour, day, algorithm, and asset. A 60% win rate at 10 AM means 6 out of 10 trades placed around 10 AM were profitable.
Profit Factor
Total profits divided by total losses. A profit factor of 1.5 means for every $1 lost, $1.50 was gained. Above 1.0 = profitable overall. Above 2.0 = excellent.
Market Session
Trading hours grouped by global region: Asia Pre-Market (0-3 AM EST), Europe (3-8 AM), US Morning (8-12 PM), US Afternoon (12-4 PM), After-Hours (4-8 PM), Asia Evening (8 PM-12 AM).
Win/Loss Streak
Consecutive wins or losses in a row. Long win streaks suggest the strategy is in sync with market conditions. Long loss streaks may indicate a regime change (market shift).
Recovery Rate
How often the system recovers after a loss — specifically, the percentage of losing trades followed by a winning trade. Higher = more resilient strategy.
Exit Reason (TP / SL / Max Hold)
TP (Take Profit) = closed at the profit target — ideal outcome. SL (Stop Loss) = closed at the loss limit — damage controlled. Max Hold = closed after the time limit — indeterminate result.
Best Setups
The highest-performing combination of algorithm + asset + time. Example: "RSI Reversal on FOREX @ 10 AM" means that specific algorithm on forex pairs at that time has the best track record.
Algorithm Matrix
A cross-reference table showing how each of the 19 algorithms performs on each asset class (crypto, forex, stocks). Identifies which algorithms work best on which markets.
